Tips

  • Pack Light: Many safari lodges have laundry services. Depending on where you are headed to safari, many lodges are accessed only by bush plane that carry strict weight restrictions (33lbs total per person)

  • Layering: Weather can vary greatly, so layering is key.

  • Respect the Dress Code: Safari chic is not just for the aesthetic. Neutrals (greens, khaki, tans, etc) are recommended for good reason; avoid bright colors and camouflage patterns as they can startle animals or may be illegal in some areas.

With these essentials packed, you’re ready to embark on your African safari adventure, equipped for both the awe-inspiring landscapes and the thrilling wildlife encounters. Remember, the key to a successful safari is comfort, practicality, and respect for the environment and local cultures. So zip up your bags, double-check your list, and get ready to create lifelong memories in the heart of Africa’s wild beauty, it truly is so special. Safe travels and happy safari!
